Police Dog Reunited With Officer After Being Shot in Line of Duty
There were concerns Bruno would not survive after being shot while protecting his fellow human officers, but he made it through surgery.
It was a tough recovery, but Bruno fought hard. His police days were over, though, and he had to retire from the force.
His human partner Officer Young adopted him and they stayed together. He managed to live two more years after this!
